Above should be to the commercial by Cadillac starring Kate Walsh, a doctor familiar to many from Grey's Anatomy. I chose this commercial because of the great contrasts in masculinity and femininity. I think choosing an attractive female in this commercial was to appeal both men and women. Cars are known as a pretty masculine hobby and interest to men. A lot of society stereotype the male interested in muscle cars and needing the best car on the block. She appealed to the men with her seductive words and appearance. They are already interested in cars and they might believe the kind of car being advertised will attract such women like herself. On the other hand, women may watch the commercial and believe they can be as beautiful as Kate, if she were to drive the car. This strategy is used by Cadillac advertisers to use one set of words that appeal to any audience because of the different perceptions held by men and women.
